Abdulla Ismail Award

This award was introduced to recognize the valuable services late Mr. Abdulla Ismail (Himithi Ismail Keleyfaanu Thuththu) rendered for Mathematics and Dhivehi Language and to establish a love for education among the children of South Nilandi Atoll Islands.
This award is presented every year to a selected two students, a boy and a girl who is benefited to study up to grade 10 in a school of South Nilandi Atoll under the expense of Ministry of Education.

DPE conducts an exam in English, Mathematics, Dhivehi Language, Islamic studies and Envrionmental Studies for the grade 5 students of South Nilandi Atoll namely Nilandhoo, Feeali, Magoodhoo, Bilehdhoo and Dharanboodhoo on a rotating basis in two islands every year to choose a student for this award.
