           Welcome to the Department of Public Examinations (DPE) website. DPE was established as a separate department of the government under the Ministry of Education (MOE) in 1989. The major function of the department as the name suggests is the administration of local and overseas examinations. Over the years there has been a tremendous increase in the number of candidates, specially school candidates appearing for examinations administered by DPE . At the same time the number of examinations offered both on a regular basis and on demand has increased significantly in recent years.
